Waxing Moon in Aries

As the Aries Moon blazes her way toward tomorrow's Full Moon, she is inconjunct Venus in Scorpio and opposing Saturn. With each aspect, the Moon focuses feeling leading to action.

The Ram, emblem of the Faroe Islands
We've been experiencing Venus in Scorpio for several weeks now. Since she's retrograde, she'll be in this sign of depth and shadow until late December. The waxing Aries Moon ignites feelings about what we're learning from Venus in relationships, finances, and creativity. Venus in Scorpio helps us face difficult issues and stuck patterns but can leave us ... still stuck.

Aries bright fire offers the chance to shift, possibly dramatically. We close our eyes, reach into Scorpio's grab bag, pull out something we've been carrying around forever, and do something about it. Let it go, act on it, strike out in a new direction ... Something!

The Moon in Aries can be impulsive and sometimes angry, so today's opposition with Saturn in Libra offers stability and balance to ensure our actions are moving us forward in positive ways. The Aries Moon is ready to take the ram by the horns and act. Saturn in Libra insists we consider the consequences, for ourselves and others, before jumping in.

The Moon-Saturn opposition previews tomorrow's powerful Full Moon in Aries. The Sun, like Saturn, is in Libra, balancing Aries call to action with Libra's thoughtful calm. Look for a full post later today exploring the complex patterns of this year's second Full Moon in Aries!
