The Moon sailed into visionary Aquarius in the early hours of this morning, beginning to show herself in the night sky again as she fills her sails with the energies flowing from the Sagittarian New Moon and eclipse. On this trip through Aquarius, the Moon will add Aquarian thinking-outside-the-box to the forces moving us toward transformation, while challenging the slower archetypes to get moving.

This morning, the Moon connected with Uranus the revolutionary trickster and Chiron the healing sage. Each of these outer-planet powerhouses are essential to these transformative times. We see all around us many things calling out for change, as we realize we ourselves are our greatest project.

Venus is the planet of relating, including in her purview our relationships with other people, our sense of esthetics (how we relate to form, color, sound, touch), and our sense of balance and fairness. As she transits across relentless Pluto, we may feel transformational shifts in any Venus-influenced areas, and we may feel our larger alchemical work touched with a bit of grace and beauty.

Tuesday afternoon, the Moon and Sun reach their waxing sextile, a time when we may see the first glimmers of New Moon wishes and intentions emerging into the light. This evening, the Moon and Mars meet in an uncomfortable inconjunct: Mars in Virgo is slow and steady, and this Aquarius Moon wants to see big movements, big changes. Each has something to learn from the other if they listen.

The Moon unfurls all her sails to surge into Sagittarius on Thursday evening, pennants flying in a stiff cosmic wind as we head into a New Moon and Solar Eclipse.

In the early hours of Monday, the Moon enters her home sign of Cancer, where she pulls up the drawbridge, lowers the portcullis and hangs out the "No Trespassing" signs. In this waning part of the lunar cycle, the Moon feels it's time to reflect and reassess, and it's best to do that from a safe, secure vantage point.

Her first connection is a flowing trine to Chiron––this Moon is open to healing and guidance. Then she squares off against Uranus the revolutionary, drawing a line to say, Enough is enough. Maybe we can cope with more extremes and unexpectedness tomorrow, but right now we need respite. Time out!

Now the Moon makes supportive sextiles with Mars in careful Virgo and Jupiter in slow, steady Taurus. Looking back at impatient Uranus, she say, See? I'm changing, and this is the way to do it, step by step, no explosions, no surprises. Monday afternoon, the Moon opposes Pluto, again holding the line against too much change, too fast.

Tuesday opens with inconjunct angles-of-adjustment between the Moon and first Mercury, then the North node, then Venus. Could we say this Moon is dragging her feet? Perhaps ... and yet we've all had those days when even one more step feels like too much. Today could be one of those days.

Tuesday night, the Moon reaches her waning trine with the Scorpio Sun. The time devoted to rest and relaxation might now begin to bear fruit, as we see clearly what we're ready to release and can comfortably let go.

Wednesday morning, the Moon squares Saturn, initiating a contrast between two fundamental ways of seeing the world. The Cancer Moon represents women's ways of knowing, which focus on affiliation, relationship, and caring. Saturn in Libra stands for logic, clarity, and judgement. Both viewpoints are needed, both have much to offer––where can we find a balance between them?

This afternoon, on the 11th day of the 11th month of this 11th year, the Moon flies on bright wings into Gemini. Having experienced the calm, steady support of the Taurus Full Moon, showing us that transformation can be experienced and nurtured as natural growth, we're ready to emerge from the chrysalis and take wing.

In the early hours of Friday, the Moon enters Pisces, the ocean of dreams, visions and infinite connection. She first finds Chiron, the wounded healer, who offers the solace of deep understanding. In Pisces, the Moon expands, dissolves, diffuses, reaching out to all that is in compassionate understanding.

Friday morning, this diffused, floating Moon comes into square with Venus and Mercury in Sagittarius. These two, relations and mind, are on a quest to know, to work out the system, get everything clearly laid out, philosophically. Sunday, still within the Moon's void of course time, she reaches an inconjunct angle of adjustment with Saturn in Libra. Kairos and Chronos meet again and don't see eye to eye. Where do we follow linear time, and where is the sacred round the true clock? Oddly enough, this is the time in the U.S. when we fall back an hour, adjusting our linear clocks to the season––or are we making an unnecessary legal and political adjustment? Either way, we enjoy the magical extra hour of sleep.

Sunday morning, energy begins to flow more energetically and directly. Chiron turns direct in Pisces, a time when we might begin to feel the results of healing work we've been patiently pursuing for months. The Moon reaches an inconjunct with Mars in Leo, a push to express ourselves, shine our light into the world.

The Moon enters Aquarius this evening and we're dropped into the land of the trickster visionary revolutionary. This Moon has the ability to step back, take a cool look at intense and complicated feelings, laugh at the messes we get ourselves into, and make radically surprising moves into new territory.

The Moon's opening aspect in Aquarius is an energetic sextile to Uranus the Holy Fool, opening a night of big dreams unveiling visions of a future we could never imagine in ordinary reality. We're still in Samhain territory: Halloween may be past, but astrological Samhain has yet to arrive. Messages from other realms are flowing, and the Aquarius Moon is tuned in to the quirkiest channels.

In the early hours of Wednesday, the Moon squares Jupiter. The Aquarian Moon says it's time to shake up the powers that be; Taurean Jupiter reminds us to plan for the long term.
