Waning Moon Moving from Pisces into Aries

 I am posting these notes for Friday, July 30, a day early, as I'll be traveling tomorrow.

This is a transitional day, a shift from the quiet reflection of a void-of-course Moon into the bright enthusiasm of an Aries Moon meeting all the planets now clustered in the early degrees.

The day begins with the Moon in visionary Pisces, but without a connection to other planets. During these void-of-course times, the astrological rule of thumb is not to begin anything new. This creates a time in the early part of the day for looking inward, considering what has been accomplished, and reviewing what has been learned. This continues yesterday's Piscean energy in this waning part of the lunar cycle.

At 4:42pm EDT, a dramatic shift in energy arrives as the Moon bursts into Aries. Moving from Pisces to Aries is always significant, heralding the ending of an old cycle and the beginning of a new one. Today's shift is bigger ... the Moon was quietly void of course overnight, and now enters Aries to simultaneously joins the Cardinal Cross.

The Moon joins Uranus, and opposes Mars and Saturn. In a few hours, she will join with Jupiter and square Pluto. This brings an emotional, possibly visceral, emphasis to the Cardinal Cross at it looks now: Mars together with Saturn in balanced Libra, opposing Uranus in fiery Aries. The square between Pluto the transformer in powerful Capricorn is now coming exact with Jupiter the expander in impulsive Aries.

There is a reason we were given the past few days in visionary, intuitive Pisces to reflect on where we've been and where we're headed, and that reason is now before us: This Aries Moon joins the Cardinal Cross to let us know in no uncertain terms that change is coming. Well, let's be blunt: change is here.

As we continue with the waning part of the lunar cycle, the Aries Moon gives us the push we need to release whatever no longer serves our highest good. The waning Moon is a time of letting go, a time of realizing that we've done all we can do with this cycle, and it's time to move on. The Moon highlights the Cardinal Cross for us to say, Look! Pay attention to the energy of this time ... these patterns have not been seen for thousands of years, and they are strong. Be ready.
