The Moon Transitions Today

The Moon continues sweeping through dramatic Leo today, heading toward the court of the outer planets in the late degrees. At 6:30 pm EDT, she flows bright energy with the Sun in Gemini, finding one more way to inspire our thoughts and communications with magical fire and creative passion. At this time of the Crescent Moon, the seeds we planted at the New Moon are beginning to grow. We may not see their shape yet, but we may feel the presence of something new emerging.

Just before 11:30 pm EDT, the Leo Moon reaches 28 degrees, where she will oppose Neptune in Aquarius, while flowing energy with Ceres the Grain Mother (trine) and sending some edgy energy to Saturn in Virgo (semisextile). Aquarius focuses on the collective, and Neptune is all about merging with something larger ... while Leo wants us to express what is in our heart through the Moon, one of the most personal of planets. Perhaps the reminder here is that every one of us carries a unique and precious vision, and expressing it enriches the collective. We each embody our part of the ongoing cycle of life.

Then the Moon goes void-of-course, resting until 1:40 am EDT when she accepts the mantle of Virgo, Earth sign of sacred service, helping us ground Leo's grand creative fire in the myriad details of the manifest world.
