Moon into Capricorn: Making it Real

This is an Earth Moon, grounded, practical, wanting to know what's real. Uranian Fire might feel like nothing more than blowing smoke today, while the connections with Pluto and Jupiter in Earth, and Neptune and Chiron in Water, are things we can really get our hands on.

We need the color; we need the love.

Early Monday (5:47am EDT), the Moon enters Sagittarius, that expansive, generous, gregarious energy bringing us to the doorstep of the this week's Full Moon. Monday's aspects point to lots of messages, followed by a readiness for action, so dig out your Sagittarian explorer's hat and prepare to listen to the sages you'll meet on this journey.

Over the course of the day, the Moon will square Neptune in Pisces, trine Uranus in Aries, square Chiron in Pisces, form a semisextile with Pluto in Capricorn, and form an inconjunct with Jupiter in Taurus. Yes, that's all the outer planets plus Sagittarius' ruler, Jupiter, weighing in with something for the Moon.

And yet, we're asked to wait a bit, as the Moon-Mercury trine is the last classical aspect in this Moon transit, opening a void-of-course period until the Moon steps into Capricorn Wednesday morning (at 10:13am EDT).

Moon into Scorpio: What Is Hidden?

Friday night through Monday morning

Overnight, the Moon slips into shadowy Scorpio, diving from the airy heights of Libran thought into the depths of intensity hidden within the sign of Fixed Water. This Moon transit will provide a counterpoint to aspects of good fortune, reminding us to look beneath the surface and be aware of hidden currents.

And yet ... and yet ... says the Scorpio Moon, whose first aspect, a trine with Neptune in Pisces, calls us to listen to intuitive guidance. A trine with Chiron opens opportunities for healing that, perhaps, we didn't see before.

Early Sunday morning, the Moon reaches her waxing trine with the Sun, a time when we feel all our energies flowing in the same direction, if we are committed to reaching our New Moon goals. With the Sun in Cancer and Moon in Scorpio, this could be a time of intense feeling, and is also the Moon's last classical aspect in this sign, beginning a long void of course period that lasts until the early hours of Monday.
